Switching, data export and deletion

The ordinary notice period is 14 days to the end of the monthly billing period. On an express deletion request, the restaurant is taken offline immediately; technical deletion is performed no earlier than 75 days later.

The export includes restaurant and operator master data, menus, dishes, prices, sizes, extras, allergens, additives, translations, design configuration, publication records, click analytics and a media manifest. Structured data are provided as JSON and suitable tabular data additionally as CSV. Original media are provided as files or time-limited download links. Secrets, internal security data, other tenants’ data and proprietary internal models are excluded.

Carta supports technically feasible switching and normally provides the standard export within 7 days. The transition period is no more than 30 calendar days. It is followed by a retrieval period of at least 30 calendar days. The customer cooperates in time and confirms successful retrieval.

The standard export and regular switching process are free of charge. Bespoke development, transformation or migration work outside the standard requires a separate quote; mandatory prohibitions on switching charges remain unaffected.

After the retrieval period, Carta deletes production data unless statutory retention or legal defence requires otherwise. Once the documented backup system is in place, backup copies are overwritten or deleted within no more than a further 90 days. Billing and contract records subject to statutory retention remain stored with restricted use.
